Biography

Valeria is an attorney-at-law admitted to practice in Colombia. She was a student intern in the Delegation of Mercantile Proceedings of the Superintendence of Companies for one year. She has worked in our firm since 2016 and currently works as an attorney-in-law in the Corporate and Commercial Law Department, as well as in the Insolvency Department.

She has experience in drafting and reviewing civil and commercial contracts, as well as in the incorporation of different types of corporate vehicles in Colombia, and in the structuring of shareholder agreements and investment agreements. Valeria advises clients from various economic sectors on issues related to mergers and acquisitions, investment strategies and local and international financing. Additionally, she has experience in reorganization and judicial liquidation proceedings before the Superintendence of Companies.

Valeria is an attorney-at-law from Universidad de Los Andes’ Law School (2016) and a Specialist in Commercial Law from the same university (2018). She has studies in Corporate Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2013). Additionally, her article “The decree of unnamed preliminary injunctions in the Colombian corporate jurisdiction: effects on conciliation” was published in the Legis’ “Foro de Derecho Mercantil” magazine in May 2020.

Valeria is a lawyer from Universidad de Los Andes’ Law School (2016) and a specialist in Commercial Law from the same university (2018). She also studied Corporate Law and Governance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2013).
