Lorena Martínez Arcos
Lorena is a lawyer admitted to practice in Colombia. She has worked in our law firm since 2011 in the area of Litigation and Arbitration and Urban and Real Estate Law department.
Lorena advises and represents clients of the firm in civil, commercial, administrative and urban litigation, before the ordinary jurisdiction, arbitration tribunals and administrative national entities at all levels. She has experience in advising and providing consultation to clients in the structure and implementation of alternative mechanisms of dispute resolution regarding future possible controversies, and also, she offers assistance and advisory in issues related to real estate and urban law.
Lorena coordinated the Specialization of Urban Law at Los Andes University between 2009 and 2011.
Lorena was a researcher, advisor and assistant in the Project named “DEFINICIÓN DE LAS DIRECTRICES DE ORDENAMIENTO DEL SISTEMA DISTRITAL DE EQUIPAMIENTOS, EN DESARROLLO DE LA ESTRUCTURA FUNCIONAL Y DE SERVICIOS DEL MODELO DE ORDENAMIENTO TERRITORIAL” (Agreement 300-2009 Uniandes/SDP)
Lorena graduated from Los Andes University Law School – Bogotá, Colombia (2009), has a Specialist Degree in International Business Law ( 2011), a LL.M. in Private Law (2014) from the same university and Specialist Degree in Urban Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2019).
Lorena is author of paper called “About the failure to comply with the obligation to request to the Court of Justice of the Andean Community for the prejudicial interpretation of Community Law in the arbitration proceeding”, Journal of Private Law No. 52, July – December 2014, Law School, Universidad de los Andes, ISSN 1909-7794.
